How Much Exercise Do I Need Per Week (and Per Day)?

At first glance, these numbers might seem intimidating.

On a daily basis, you’ve got the option to divide those 30 minutes even further.

In other words, exercise doesnt have to be boring!

As long as youre moving, its all good.

Should Everyone Exercise the Same Amount?

The same goes if youre new to exercise in general.

You dont need to run a marathon or lift double your weight to reap the benefits of exercise.

Exercise boosts the immune system.

Exercise benefits heart and brain health.

And that’s just scratching the surface.

Exercise helps prevent injuries and instability.

Exercise can also reduce the risk of injuries, Brady says.

Needless to say, exercise can do alot.

Exercise supports better nightly sleep.

Think about [your] own day and what would work, Brady says.

If you do this [three times a day], youll accumulate 15 to 30 minutes of walking.

But again, youre not limited to walking.

This means you could do any combo of these activities and still get the recommended minimum amount of exercise.

How Much Exercise Is Too Much?

There is no maximum threshold for daily or weekly exercise limits.
