In a word, no, you don’tneedto reheat fried chicken, at least not for safety reasons.

Reheating can reinvigorate most (but not all) of that crispiness.

For maximum crispiness, place the chicken on a wire rack over a baking sheet.

This setup optimizes air and heat circulation.

Pan-frying leftover fried chicken for a few minutes per side can bring it back to life.

How to Reheat Fried Chicken in the Microwave

Microwaving fried chicken isnt the most reliable reheating method.

It’s fast and works if youre in a pinch, but doesn’t result in the crispiest skin.

For the oven method, loosely cover the baking pan with aluminum foil.

For the skillet method, use a fitted lid during the first half of re-frying.

Air-frying is nearly as fast as microwaving (not including preheating) and renders better results.
