We tested 28 of them in our lab and at home for six months to find the very best.
It’s made of metal, so it’s a bit heavier than plastic models.
It was great for most tasks, including watering our plants and washing our car.

One standout feature we really loved was the spray mechanism.
It is made of metal, which helps, but this also makes it slightly heavier than plastic models.
It also survived a 4-foot drop with no damage.

The amount of power you get from this nozzle is dependent on your grip.
The harder the grip, the more powerful the water flow.
Its highest spray setting was mightyit sprayed about 32 feet.
This gave us the pressure we needed to clean stubborn messes on a concrete slab and in ourgarbage can.
With a light grip, you get a mist effect.
There isn’t really an in-between.
Note that this isn’t the most ergonomic hose nozzle in the world.
It’s not the best option for watering delicate flowers.
Despite its force, there’s no real kickback from this nozzle.
The lever turns the water on and off and controls the pressure.
The large rubber head can be adjusted to change the spray from a fine mist to a powerful jet.
The hose turns along with the nozzle, so it’s challenging to keep the hose from twisting awkwardly.

We were really happy with the latter, which we used to remove stains from particularly dirty chairs.
Each setting was easy to use and stayed consistent (with no leaks!)
over the entire six-month testing period.

We had to constantly adjust the rest of the hose to keep it from twisting awkwardly.
For the price, those are two minor issues we’re certainly willing to deal with.
We also noted whether each spray pattern was normal and steady or spotty and erratic.

Then, we assessed the damage and whether or not its performance was affected after that.
We collected all of this data and used it to come up with the best hose nozzles.
Many metals are rust-resistant and wont corrode over time.

Comfort
Comfort comes from the nozzle’s grip.
Look for an ergonomic design, including padding (preferably rubber) and indentations for your fingers.
Plastic will be lighter to hold, while metal might weigh you down a bit.

You’ll also want to look for the right on/off mechanism.
Spray parameters
The number of spray parameters you need is dependent on your watering needs.
You don’t really need a bunch of different spray patterns here.
