We tested a variety made from all kinds of materials and weaves to find the best deep-pocket sheets.
We even found acouple of sheet setswith extra deep pocketsthese fit mattresses over 18 inches deep.
The pillowcase could be wider.

Unlike other sheet sets that lose their coziness over time, these sheets start soft and stay that way.
They maintain their texture throughout two months of washing, feeling fresh after each wash. And the best part?
Our lotion stain came out effortlessly.

This set can work with mattresses up to 18 inches in depth.
Our only gripe is that the pillowcases could be a bit wider, though this isnt a dealbreaker.
Crafted from 100% cotton, we consider these sheets to be of a medium density.
While lying beneath them in jeans, socks, and a T-shirt, we didnt overheat.
Even on particularly hot nights, we didnt sweat at all.
The slick material takes some getting used to, and your pillows may slide off the bed.
From the moment we pulled the top sheet over our bodies, we felt the cooling effect.
After several washes, the sheets held up well without becoming wrinkled.
Made from a blend of polyester and spandex, the sheets are soft and stretchy.
For summer months specifically, a cooling sheet set is a must-have.
Material:Polyester, spandex |Sizes:Queen, king/California king |Pocket Depth: 18 in.
for queen, 20 in.
They get very wrinkly.
We were also impressed by their breathability.
Overall, these sheets are very versatilenot too silky, but not too hot or fuzzy, either.
Our only complaint is the wrinkles.

They get very wrinkly and arent super cozy.
If youre looking for a hotel-quality organic sheet set, these Boll & Branch sheets certainly deliver.
After months of use and several washes, weve yet to spot a single loose thread.
And theyve kept their crisp texture throughout months of use.
Thecotton materialfeels sturdy and substantial.
Even though it has a thick texture, we found it surprisingly cool to the touch.
(They did get pretty wrinkled, though.)
We loved how well the fitted sheet stayed in place, thanks to its 17-inch pocket.
There might be excess fabric if you dont have a mattress pad or mattress topper.
After several washes, they still look and feel like newno fading, shrinkage, or stretching.
While some flannel sheets can be overly warm and heavy, this set strikes the perfect balancecozy yet lightweight.
With 24-inch pocketsthe deepest of any sheets on our listthese sheets fit our mattress perfectly.
That said, we expect there might be excess fabric for those with thinner mattresses.

They may get thinner with use.
And this set will work on mattresses up to 16 inches deep.
However, in addition to getting softer, they also became noticeably thinner after six months of use.

They are one of the more expensive sheet sets weve tested.
Hot sleepers found that these stay incredibly cool to the touch, too.
Were still amazed by how soft and silky they are.
Making the bed with them is a breeze.
These sheets also never get wrinkly, even after laundering.
Afterward, we inspected each carefully for loose threads, snags, discolorations, and other imperfections.
We also measured each sheet again to see if any shrinkage occurred.
To measure breathability, we conducted a water test.
Next, we made a bed with each sheet set, taking note of how difficult the process was.
Finally, we used sandpaper to evaluate durability.
After the lab tests, we brought the sheets home, evaluating their durability throughout six months of use.
That said, a sheets texture really depends on two things: its raw material and its weave.
Tencel comes from wood chips that get pulverized, strained, and processed to create a silky-smooth fabric.
It has cooling properties, making it great for hot sleepers, and is moisture wicking and hypoallergenic.
While Tencel sheets are durable and resistant to pilling, they do tend to be more expensive.
In addition to the material, the weave of your sheets also determines how they feel.
Thread Count
Thread count is actually a myth.
As a general rule of thumb, the higher the thread count, the denser the fabric.
But denser doesnt mean more comfortable or breathable.
Thread count is not something we recommend prioritizing as a measurement when youre shopping for sheets.
Instead of focusing on thread count, prioritize thread quality, Tannen says.
As someone who tosses and turns at night, she loves deep-pocket sheets that actually stay put.
