Oxygen bleach is safe to use on all colors and types of carpet fibers except wool.
Then, follow the label directions and mix a solution of oxygen bleach powder and cool water.
Dip a soft-bristled brush or clean cloth into the solution and work it into the carpet.
Start at the outside edge of the stain and work toward the center.
Wait at least 30 minutes before blotting the stained area with a dry cloth.
If discoloration remains, mix a fresh solution of oxygen-bleach and water and repeat the steps.
Allow the carpet to air dry and then vacuum to restore the pile.
