Empty the water tank into a sink or bucket.
Fill the Tank With Vinegar
Fill the tank with distilled white vinegar orcleaning vinegar.
Avoid using other types of vinegar because they may have sediment that interferes with the cleaning process.
Turn on the Steamer
Plug in the steamer and set it to the highest setting.
This process may take a few minutes.
When no more steam is flowing, pour any vinegar remaining in the tank into the sink drain.
Fill the Tank With Distilled Water
Refill the tank with distilled water up to the fill line.
This step removes any traces of vinegar and helps blast out loose mineral deposits from the steamer’s parts.
If yours is a hand steamer, dry it with a clean lint-free cloth.
Cracks pose a risk for accidental burns, so it’s a good idea to replace any damaged components.
Soak the Nozzle
Submerge the nozzle in the warm vinegar and soak for at least eight hours.
This should remove the build-up of calcium and other mineral deposits.
Next, remove the nozzle from the vinegar bath and rinse well with warm water.
