What Is A Boule?
A boule French for “ball” is a traditional loaf of bread shaped like a smashed ball.

Ingredients
3cups(1434 oz.)
Gradually stir in water until no dry bits of flour remain and the mixture is well combined.
Measuring Tip
When measuring flour, a digital scale is the most accurate.
Shape the dough:
Turn the dough onto a generously floured surface or floured parchment paper.
Then, flour the parchment surface.
Gently lift the dough and place it, seam-side down, in the prepared bowl.
Pre-heat the oven:
Preheat the oven to 500F.
Carefully lift the doughusing the parchment paper as handlesand place the dough and parchment into the hot Dutch oven.
Replace the pot’s lid and return it to the oven.
Remove the lid and continue baking until it turns a deep golden brown, 12 to 15 more minutes.
