Costco is slashing some prices on its signatureKirkland brand products, which the company produces in-house.

Prices staying the same low price include hot dogs ($1.50) androtisserie chicken($4.99).
They noted that households are doing what they can to save money on groceries and are more conscious consumers.
Costco shoppers are especially interested in saving money at Costco’s meat, produce, and bakery departments.
This change has also lowered emissions because they no longer need to ship millions of paper towel units overseas.
Employee Benefits and Store Openings
Increased membership fees are doing more than keeping costs low.
More than 76.2 million Costco members (up 7.3% over last year) are helping employees, too.
Costco has also used funds from the price increase to addmembership ID scanners at front entrances.
According to executives, the move was very well received by members because it has expedited the checkout process.
